Reliance Arms - Shooting Class

Postby RoadMaster » Mon Mar 08, 2010 10:01 am

I had the opportunity to attend a shooting class from Reliance Arms the other day and thought I would share. I took one of their Pistol Skills class (designed by them) and it was awesome! I have been shooting hand guns for about 26 years and I found it educational and very enjoyable. The class time was clear and right on point and then LOTS and LOTS of range time doing all kinds of drills. My shoulder is actually a little sore from drawing and holstering that much in one day. There were some malfunction drills that in all my years of shooting I have never practiced and doing them "under stress" in class was very educational :2gun: I would recommend/encourage any one (experienced or beginning) to take a class from them. If you can't be on the water boating you might as well be in a nice setting on the range hunter_134) And I must say the Butte Lodge where the classes are held is just top notch!!! Just a nice relaxed setting and a lunch that warms your belly.

I am going to do that one of these days after the Wifes foot heals up hard to do on crutches but sounds like fun and could come in handy some day. Broke.

Broke you and Ang would have a blast!!! When I can "work it" I am going to take the next level class.

I was amazed to find out at the end of my class that a couple were very very novice the day before and I was extremely impressed with how they could operate ultra compact 1911s at the end of 2 days of training (one having never shot a 1911 prior). I also watched everyone’s (including mine) target grouping improve and some by ½ or better.

RoadMaster,

Thanks for the kind post. I'm glad you enjoyed the class. You were already a good shot when you showed up. The class was great. I was most pleased with the young lady who was shooting the compact 1911 in .45acp. It was the first time shooting for her and her fiance with their new guns. She came a long way, I dont even think she knows how much she accomplished.

Gerad, can't wait to get you and Ang in class. And yes we are doing a promo for March and April with the IJBA to help them with recruitment. Members get a %50 discount on NRA Basic Pistol and or %50 Discount for Reliance Arms Pistol Skills I.

I signed up for March 21. Had a buddy at work who went last weekend and said it was great. The IJBA discount was great!
