What fuel filter/water separator is on you LSA

Postby BVK » Wed May 16, 2018 3:54 pm

As stated, I'm looking to remove my aero motive filter and replace it with a Water separator fuel filter and want to know what people are running successfully.

Please only answers about LSA engines (due to fuel pressure requirements)

Thanks all.

I have a KEM 5.7l MPI, Do not know if LSI has different fuel pressure requirements, but my rail runs about 42 psi. I have a standard spin on fuel water separator plumbed between the low pressure pump and the high pressure pump. Came that way from KEM. Just do a search on Amazon formfuel water separator kits. You can get different micron filters. I do not think you can run the rancor with the clear bottom and drain in an enclosed engine house.

Ya the LSA has minimum GPH requirement as well as a minimum inside port diameter for the filter housing which is 1/2, most marine fuel filters are only 3/8. It seems like the only options are a Racor with a metal bowl or a Aero Motive which I have but want something that will also catch some water. Just curious what other guys have on their LSA engines.
